Spirit Pruners - A new band of Eco-arborists serving the Spokane region

Spirit Pruners: A new band of Eco-arborists descends on Spokane. The intent of the arborists of Spirit Pruners is to combine knowledge & skill with mindful observation, tending to the tree's essential needs and accentuating natural beauty and form. Spirit Pruners re-purpose all of their wood for lumber, sculpture, firewood, interior design, etc. Spirit Pruners are earth conscious, wear bamboo gloves with natural rubber palms and operate their chainsaws with canola oil as an environmentally friendly alternative to bar oil.

We are in the process of lining up farm help for the 2012 season. This can take the form of an internship, or becoming a long-term member of the Evolutionary School of Permaculture we are setting up.

Depending on prior experience and work performance there may be monthly stipends. At this time we have no insurance. We prefer that people already have their own health insurance.

Qualifications: Organic farming experience. Good physical shape. Ability to do a wide variety of manual labor as we don’t use many machines. Good people skills required.
