You may also donate food: The SFCC cafeteria has graciously allowed us to provide some of the food they will prepare into delicious meals. This will allow us to include locally-grown food and organic into the menu. Vegetables and fruit are especially sought. Meat, dairy, eggs and prepared foods cannot be accepted unless they have the full government certification. Snack food is appreciated as will have a separate snack bar. Riverfront Farms is a scattered-site urban farming initiative currently consisting of 5 different lots. One lot serves as the hub for the Green Collar Jobs Corps. This lot in the heart of the West Central neighborhood in Spokane also includes a demonstration house, "Farm/Eco House," for green technology and affordable housing, and the main tool supply shed and the working office of Project H.O.P.E.

Jim Schrock began recycling in Spokane in 1977 and over the years Earthworks Recycling has been recycling an ever increasing number of items. We collect the obvious like metals & paper, but also include materials as varied as Styrofoam packing peanuts - pallets and eyeglasses. Truly the most unique recycling experience in Eastern Washington.
We also sell used metals for projects, barrels, electronics and moving supplies. -
One of the last remaining patches of Farmland in the Latah Creek/Vinegar Flats area of Southeast Spokane.
It was previously owned by the Hoy family & farmed by neighbor, Harlow Hotrum, who grew mostly root crops. In 2003 it was bought by Jim Schrock, owner of Earthworks Recycling.
