Come for a guided tour of a productive agroforestry site in the making. The in-depth walkthrough takes a couple hours and is a half mile of hiking throught over a dozen management zones across 9 acres. The land contains a series of artificial ponds and springs, related farm earthworking projects, mixed conifer forest and tree crop systems. Join us for a lively discussion on mountain farm design and provide critiques or input.
After the tour/discussion, we will break for lunch. Soup will be available all day and potluck offerings are welcome. Following lunch, we will have a work party in the apple grove. Take a deep hands-on look at the 200 mature fruit trees and earn credit for apples in autumn and/or use of the apple press technology.
From 4pm-8pm will be the after party with nothing planned, just relax and enjoy each others company.
No drugs or alcohol. Guests are welcome to stay the night on 3/28 or 3/29.
